Dr.Sugandhan.S,M.D is the Medical Director and Senior Consultant Dermatologist & Trichologist at Dermalaya Skin & Hair Clinic, Chennai. He brings nearly 25 years of focused experience in dermatology, combining strong academic training, international exposure, clinical leadership, and compassionate patient care.
He completed his MBBS medical training at PSG Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Coimbatore, in 2000, followed by his M.D. in Dermatology from Kakatiya Medical College, Warangal. He further trained as a Senior Resident at AIIMS, New Delhi, and completed a Clinical Fellowship in Dermatology at the National Skin Centre, Singapore. He also holds a Diploma in Dermatology from the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons, Glasgow, UK.
Over the years, Dr.Sugandhan.S,M.D has been associated with reputed dermatology departments, including a clinical leadership role as Head of the Department of Dermatology at MIOT International Hospitals, Chennai. His clinical work spans dermatology, trichology, psoriasis, urticaria, inflammatory skin diseases, allergy-related skin disorders, and advanced skin and hair care.
He is a member of reputed professional bodies including the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists, American Academy of Dermatology, European Academy of Dermatology, Association of Hair Restoration Surgeons of India, Hair Research Society of India, and the Indian Medical Association.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr.Sugandhan.S,M.D has contributed to dermatology through journal publications, textbook chapters, academic presentations, and faculty roles in professional dermatology meetings.

After completing his Senior Residency at AIIMS (New Delhi) and Fellowship at NSC, Singapore, Dr.Sugandhan.S chose to start his clinical practice in Chennai in 2008. From a humble beginning in a small 120 sqft sized clinic, this highly skilled and trained young doctor was determined to start a dedicated center of excellence in the field of Dermatology with a vision of providing global standards of care to the people of Chennai and beyond.
